Talk about Cheap and Easy Entertaining

If you are willing to let them get a little dirty. Mud Pies is the answer

We are taking advantage of the slightly cooler weather and playing outside. And since our back yard is just dirt, we have plenty of mud pie materials.

Here is the shocker of the day...Miss B got the LEAST muddy. Strange.

Here is Luke's 'birds nest' to feed the birds. Hey, I don't make it up, I just write it down.

Check out that tasty treat.

Baylie told me she was making cupcakes. Now thats my girl, always got treats on the mind.

Maybe mud wrestling next?

A little mud never hurt anyone. I remember making mud pies in aluminum pie plates that my mother had saved. Don't think I ever conviced anyone to try my lovely pies though.

we never ate them but always made them after a lot of rain. very fond childhood memory. good for you to let them do it. i would probably yell at them for getting muddy.

Oh you are such a nice mom. Did you spray them off with the garden hose before letting them back in the house? I probably would. haha...

Looks like some yummy treats. Yes, mud wrestling next! You and Jason too. Better get your hose out there and get a good pit going. You could get ready for that Mud Run Race. Or that would be a fun get to know you activity with your new neighbors or church friends. ha ha.

I love mud pies! I think it is cute that Darby is wearing an 'Adorable' shirt while covered in mud. Looks like fun! Yum yum.
