Summer bash

Our school since it's a title 1 school and has large number below the poverty line was sponsored by the Santuary church to have a completely free carnival with food included. It was awesome. So thankful for this local church it took lots of money, many volunteers and lots of prep work. It was very touching to see what a good job they did and so nice not have to do anything (our PTA is essentially like five people). We would have just canceled it because of low funds and all the PTA money has been sucked into paying for the $21,000 art program annually.

Our family had a blast and baylies class performed two songs for it. There were live animals and clay art and Italian ice and burgers and nachos and inflatables and game booths and we didn't even get to everything and we were there the four hours!

Unfortunately Jason missed most since a  we had a plumbing emergency and even had to shower at the schoenis at one point (thank you!). It got fixed and he caught the last hour though.

It was such a nice chill evening and so lucky that it was all free it would have cost at least $50  for us if we would have paid for it maybe more than that.  I can't wait to hear what attendance was because it was at least three times what we normally get. The kids even got pull string back packs with school name on it and goodies inside (not candy) stuff they actually could use.

There are so many good churches in our area I love it and why our community is less tainted by some of the garbage that comes living in California in my opinion. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but know amazingly good people are everywhere and I'm so glad of it and thankful for them.

So thank you Sanctuary church this Mormon family of seven is very grateful!!

Please take note of the awesome shoes baylie wore when rock climbing. She had flip flops on but switched to those cause they were more comfortable.

How cute is this idea?
