On Veterans day we went to the Los Angeles Zoo. I love that place. Everyone in LA also decided to go there since we all had no school. But the weather was gorgeous and perfect.
The condor exhibit was open and we love that place. The kids like playing with the walkie talkies.
Here is baylie performing 'surgery' on a baby condor. I learned they eat garbage (on accident since they have poor vision and are scavengers) and then won't have room in their tummies for food. So the LA zoo will do surgeries to get the garbage out and then release them. Pretty cool. Baylie loved it cause she like anything she can tie something up. The girl loves to tie. Anything, which is very handy for me. (the garbage was beer bottle tops and bullet shells...yes we are not the ones polluting them!)
Ivy liked this peep hole
We picked up Owen to balance out the girl numbers a bit and went to the petting zoo. our pass expires on the 30th so I had this all day zoo idea planned, but then everyone was tired after like 2 1/2 hours. oh well, hopefully i can squeeze the little girls back again next week.
those baby goats were very patient. i was impressed.
i had brought my camera (which i never get to) since Jason was with us and i had extra hands.
but nooooo my Paisley wouldn't let me take pictures of her.
and yes we are growing out her bangs and yes I have limited control of what they wear and their hair sometimes...especially cause dad has been helping and 'do ing' it. his specialty is pony tails, (which their mom usually doesn't let them do cause they just fall out) so they love it.
I just needed proof I was there :) this was right before we left.
those hot pink bike shorts of baylies are from target and one of my favorite pieces of clothing ever.
