Good times

This week has been full of unexpected visits. Like we got to go to Kate's baptism and I got to see Claire (and Emily!) for a little bit. Oh how many of my friends now live in Utah! But glad I get to see her when I can. Thank goodness for blogs that keep us more connected.

Then Michelle C and I drove to Anaheim last nite to visit baby Owen! It was so great to see Tanya and she looked amazing. But I got to hold 7 day old Owen for a good long while he slept, yes I am that baby crazed lady. It was like heaven.

Which reminds me why I'm so good on the fly....no time to rethink things. Just do it. Life is so busy and sickness and work and stuff coming up, planning ahead sometimes doesn't work...or if the idea is a little crazy, like driving to Anaheim at 8 p.m. after a long day and knowing I'll have to get up early the next morning... I do best when its the day of, and don't think and just go.

And I'm sooo glad I did. Some of my best memories is when I have gone and done the crazy thing that is going to cause me less sleep or a little more effort...like dressing up my big family to go to a baptism that they are going to act bonkers at... still super worth it to go. So glad I didn't miss out seeing that cute baby and Tanya.

I need remind myself sometimes when family trips are really difficult with time and money and exhausting and stuff. Its worth the effort. (and also I try and sit on my buns and do nothing whenever else I can)

Here is a creation of Luke's that I found in the bathroom. Its a boat.

P.S. I'm contemplating a blog look redo...thinking of a really funny new blog name. Should I go fancy? If anything it would amuse the crap out of me.

Cause yesterday I waited for our new fridge to get delivered all day and couldn't really leave and then had a contractor at our house at 7 a.m. that morning I knew dinner was gonna be hard to do....so at lunch I went and grabbed 6 cheeseburgers from mcdonalds, put them in the fridge...Then at dinner I microwaved them, made everyone ate outside 'picnic-style' and then told them to fill up a water if they wanted a drink....thats it. Even my ten month old was munching on a cheeseburger, which just reminded me...where is that Mother of the Year award already? I'm waiting to get it.

The McDs cheeseburger tip is free, your welcome.

it was so fun to see you, I'm so glad you came to Kate's baptism. I agree some of the craziest stuff is the most worthwhile and I'm curious too about the contractor and what you may be having re-done.
