Baby Names

Last nite was movie nite and Jason got everyone popcorn and chocolate milk (in sippy cups, even for Luke) and then was the only one to spill it himself, which must be documented because dad's never do stuff like that, but I was like dying laughing which Jason responded "Wow, look kids, mom actually found a sense of humor, " which then domino-ed into a hysteria frenzy where the kids were laughing and shouting over each other to come up with the best baby name ever. Nothing like a good run on sentence in my opinion. It was so loud and crazy and Paisley was just meandering around it occured to me that she thought this behavior was perfectly normal. And for our house, it was.

Here is what we came up with, all started by an earlier conversation where I bounced a name off the kids at dinner "What do you think of Zoe?" and Darby responded, "Mom, nobody really likes that name." which I thought was a such a funny response even though kids really don't get a say over here as far as names go. Luke wanted to name Darby, KoocornSally and we didn't go with that.

Here they go. Brace yourself for some silly. Jason kept interjecting with offended comments like, "You guys, this is our cute little baby you are talking about!"

Poopuponme...Luke (although sounds pretty similar to Penelope when you say it out loud, which you should right now, or as Luke thought it was pronounced in Harry Potter, Pene- lope)

Bridget or Magnolia ....Brooke (Jason said no way)

Tavie...Jason (Brooke said no way)

Clock...Darby

Doodaaabeebumbum....Baylie

Princess P- Baylie

Right now thats all my little brain can remember and now must attend to the deep cleaning of a disastrous house left from a checked out (but still at home) mama. Plus we still haven't got those rooms quite straightened out, but its getting there.

I love to be at your house when all the sillies come out - so much fun! Glad to see that Jason is normal too.

Jason is still on Tavie? Maybe you will keep having girls until you give in. Haha...

I still like Penelope. I think it's cute. Zoe is cute too.

Not that I get a vote, but still.

One of my music classes has THREE Zoe's in it. Yep, ask me if a name is popular b/c now that I teach a little kid music class, I can see the trends clearly. I only have one Magnolia in that class and I think Bridget is cute. Yeah - you guys have had Tavie on your list a lot... maybe it's time??

I like Bridget. Also really like Penelope and Paige but, since our last name starts with a "P" they were never really in contention. P and P are not ideal initials for elementary school. Whatever you decide will be perfect for your family - can't wait to hear!

I have a great-aunt named Tava, but I've never heard Tavie.
