Lazy Labor day

Today was just great. Lazy lazy lazy and thats what we needed. Strange not to have Jason working on something ....so he rotated his tires. I just stayed lazy. He finished reading the Mockingjay. We didn't leave the house once. (okay, Jason did just to pick up Luke from Owen's house). We were on the same page about doing nothing. That is a beautiful thing, to be on the same page.

I read this book today. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It was great. Darling. Heart wrenching hearing about WWII, makes you realize how much worse life can be. But it was a happy book. I love when I learn something but don't realize it cause I am engrossed in the story.

I love reading books, although I seem to read in waves. Feast or famine. I love watching movies. Too bad they both take time and usually you have to pick between the two. But both require no talent and maybe thats why they are the best hobbies to have. I'm all about no talent hobbies.

My sister comes at the end of September. Courtney and her kids. I can't wait.

I fly with the kids beginning of October to Bama. That is a long trip, and while I"m excited I'm thinking if I don't think about I won't have time to be terrified to fly alone with them. I think I will be fine. I'm sure it will just be a spectacle for my fellow passengers. Paisley will be a pill I'm sure. What babies like sitting quiet for four hours? The girl doesn't stop moving all day. My flying philosophy is to expect it to be terrible and then if its not you are pleasantly surprised. That is actually my philosophy for lots of things. Like this week. Thinking about starting it kinda makes me want to throw up a little. Weekends are just so much better.

Wednesday is going to be strange. I am getting the house cleaned. I'm so nervous. What a wimp. I am sure its going to be awesome, but right now I'm stressed about it. Lately I could stress about anything, I am a wonderful worrier. Wednesday also means I get to spy on Darby in class so that will be nice.

Thursday is going to be nuts. It involved large amounts of food storage at inconvenient times with expensive babysitters. I don't even want to think about it right now.

We broke our backyard in this weekend. It feels like someone else's house. Where are the sticks and dirt? Where are the dangerous nails and weeds? Its just weird.

Ditto to a lot of that.

I can't believe you read that book in one day. I want to read it. Glad you had a nice day and weekend with a wonderful back yard. Good luck this week with your food storage!

Hooray for the backyard, thanks for inviting Eric over. You'll be fine flying, hardest part is the airport I think, lots of waiting, once your on the plane there's not really anywhere to go. I'm liking the book reccomendations, I'm in a reading mood lately too.

Glad you had a relaxing day - you deserved it! When the cleaning people come - have something planned that you can do in the house, like pay bills or work on a project while kids play in a room otherwise you feel like you need to jump in there and help them. We're excited for you to come to Bama!
