Toffee in your purse

After making my second batch of toffee tonite (my mom's famous most delicious butt growing toffee), I was just thinking I might need to change my favorite quote to,

When things go from bad to worse, put some TOFFEE in your purse....

the possibilities are endless. Diet Coke, chocolate, hmmm...okay, those are the only other two I can think of besides toffee and the original cookies. Because maybe those are the only four things I'd want in my purse if things go from bad to worse.

I was just telling my sister in Hawaii how much I've talked up this dang toffee to my two friends so I hope it lives up to the drumroll I've been giving it. But it totally does, it is good. If you live by my mom, go help her make it and maybe she'll give you some.

By the way, I hope I survive until Christmas, how is it coming so fast. I still have a bunch of packages to send. This might (definitely according to Jason) be the first time that I am NOT sending out Christmas cards. I love Christmas cards. I love getting them, I love sending them. Very sad. Party pooper for sure. I still don't believe its true. Don't know if I can handle not sending them out with my type A personality....must be prompt...must send cards...must chill out obviously.

Pictures to come, I'm just to lazy to download them from my camera at the moment.

Hey! I love the twist to the quote. Wish I had some toffee right now. You sent out some baby announcements so no worries about Christmas cards. Everyone keeps up on your blog anyways!

This may be the first year in a long time that I let the Christmas card thing go myself but I actually still plan on sending "New Year's" cards instead. Does that count?

Your friends will not be disappointed with the toffee. It's the best toffee in the world and I'm not a usually a toffee lover.

I make toffee every year, but this year I haven't. So strange. I guess we just get so much junk food from Adam's students I don't feel like adding to it. And it's okay to not do cards. I used to be hard core about it, but you can say hi to people any time of year. I have friends that do Valentine's Day card to everyone. And just say you're "going green". :)
