I'm sitting here thinking.

One girl is I think (I hope) asleep. The other is rolling around in bed. But at my house, if you stay in bed and don't come out, that counts.

Because I just need one hour...to do nothing. To eat my lunch. To watch a tv show. Or take a nap. Or occassionally clean, although I'm starting to require non-productive moments during the day.

OH WAIT...ONE IS UP FOR SURE NOW. MY TIME IS UP. It was fun while it lasted. Watched a little Tim Gunn's Style Guide while eating my favorite chips and salsa. And wanting to smack the mother on there who was lamenting about putting her husband and children first. "Its just so hard to make me a priority." "I just feel so bad spending time two hours getting a manicure and a pedicure" Dude. Not for me. How many pedicures is this gal getting? But if you don't have two hours a month to yourself to do something frivolous then....sheesh, once a month is not enough. Haven't you heard the phrase, "Happy Mom, Happy Family?" or "Can't fill the water pail if your bucket is empty?" (that one I made up) or "Sharpen the Saw" I'm sure my mom told me the first one. And why doesn't she see that she is totally cute still, just a changed woman now...but still needing a makeover cause capris are really terrible at least at 5'3" (bermuda shorts are definitely preferred, so thankful they are readily available still).

Just thinking how I'm enjoying motherhood more than I ever have... and slightly amused by the people who are justing beginning it. Mostly because its like looking back in time at myself and how nervous and sweaty and worried I was all the time. Perspective. And that first time I tried to put a shirt on Luke, his head was so wobbly and I was freaked. But I love my kids and love spending all day with them. I'm stinking lucky. And I don't get all worked up like I used to when Jason works late, cause they are my buds. Especially when Luke tells me I'm beautiful with my big red zit on my nose. Now that is love. And I love them back.

But here is a picture of me doing roller skating in Alabama. I love to rollerskate. Now its a workout. I'm already planning on making Jason go rollerskating with me for my birthday in six months.

Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut which is like a bi-annual thing for me. I don't know what I'll do, but I don't really care. Cause I'm going to enjoy it enough when someone else washes my hair with the yummy smelling shampoo. Thank you babysitter. You are worth every penny. But don't get too comfortable because those kids are mine. Gotta go play animals...

Definately post a pic of the do! I just looked through pics for Kennadi's spotlight "farmer of the week" poster and I have tons of cute pics of the Luke Man..good times. Remember when got haircuts by just running down the stairs or out or front door...about the only bonus of that complex. Have a happy day.
