One of those less fun days

Today is one of those days I'm wondering where in the world is my fairy godmother? Seriously, I know she is out there somewhere and I'm needing a big fancy magic POOF on this day. Especially when there is a meeting in at the school tonite in Luke's class and I really wanted to go. Since I've never spoken to the woman and he is my first born. But you can't get a babysitter with a sick kid...We have been happy happy positive long enough, bound to have the tides change.

Because after one sick day yesterday that faired pretty well, we are on sick day number two and it just got worse. And after hearing about my sisters sickly woes (read Haynia Mania) I'm worried the whole house is full of heebie jeebies. Heebie Jeebies are real. Yesterday was a 'creative' sick day where we did play dough and colored (actually cooking and doing some housework), but now that we are on day two, television it is. My bag of tricks is empty. Shows how long I last. So after hours of star wars, little einsteins, backyardigans, I'm left wondering..."Why don't Bob and Wendi get married already?" Ten points if you know who Bob and Wendi are and twenty points if you can answer why they haven't.

This pictures are from yesterday, the 'good' sick day. Where there was a fever only and no pukies. But I did find a funny tidbit of information helpful that I recently learned. There is a difference between jalopenos and serano chilies. Because after trying out one of Pioneer Woman's recipes, I was wondering why my jalopeno thingies turned out hotter than only a cuss word will discribe ... and left Jason saying, "Why would you want to make these?"
Seranos are hotter than jalopenos. Significantly. You might not want to eat a whole one, even if its wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cream cheese. Good tip. Now off to nap, fingers crossed.

You made my day with your seranos comments. Yup, they're hot, hot, hot! In fact, I think I once burned my hand dicing one up because of the chemicals in them. Ouchy! Sorry you guys are sick. That's super frustrating and I would have probably been on TV with sick day #1.

So sorry your house has the sickies. Jason's comment was really funny about the food. Hopefully naps went well. I don't even think fairy godmothers come when kids have your kind of sickies...

That's a bummer that you got the sickies too. I caught them at Amber's baby shower on the 9th. I went to another baby shower tonight, and I didn't eat anything. I only have one day of leave left for the year, so I can't afford to get sick again. I even got a flu shot last week.

First - I love your posts. They make me smile. Second - Yes, the Heebie Jeebies are real! I go thru at least an entire can of lysol whenever we all get sick. Third - Yeah, we love Bob the Builder too... we'll at least one of us does. And finally, I love Jason's comment on the peppers. That sounds hot - but the stuffed with cream cheese part sounds pretty yummy.

My sister reads Pioneer Woman's blog. She says it's hilarious. I guess I should check it out, if you like it too. You have good tastes!

That is awesome pict of Baylie climbing up the bunkbed. Sorry, I heard you were sick too. I can't wait for Mom to come out in a month and a half. I love those mugs that say Fairy Grandmother!
