Best day ever

This was the best day ever. Life has taught me we need to appreciate every one of those so forgive me for enjoying every minute.

Today was a big day for our family and for my brother taking his first day of boards. I felt a million prayers for us and from us today and for Brandon too.
Jason went to the bishops storehouse and frankly I love love love that place and am extremely grateful for it. Nothing like filling up your home with good food.
Then I went to playgroup at Burger King with girls from church and used some of my gift card for a large soda and large fries. Don't even care about that the scale must have been weighted this mornin cause life is short and the fries were good.
Jason had a second meeting today with a company that is looking like the perfect fit and if he gets it then it will be an excellent story of bad things turning into good. The interview went really well. Now we wait to hear. if it doesn't work out well we have done that too and I know the next thing will when it is right. I am okay with both. Never thought I'd say that.
My friend mindy came over and cut my hair and I feel like a new woman. Plus she is a just a great person to have in your corner.
Then another one of favorite people ( grandma k!) brought us dinner after I have brought her dinner since I visit teach her. But hers to me was way better.
Picked up the kids from school and it was piano lessons day from lovely Karen.
. After homework I let the kids ride bikes out front while I ripped out all these ugly dead plants in our front yard that had really needed it.
While my hands were full of dirt ( I never wear gloves) my friend Jenn came over with a glorious bag from trader joes full of my favorite things that I had recommended she get when she was wondering what to get there. Oh how much I have missed it. The yard ended up in much better shape too which I'm sure my neighbors are glad about and we headed for the pinewood derby.
Missed a part... As I'm texting our family and friends to report on the interview I found out my cute little Christie had been fasting for us and I was so touched since she has been on my mind so much these last weeks and how roles of life change over and over again since it has always been me fasting for her!
Oh yes I missed another part. Jason went straight to the temple from the interview thinking if it doesn't go we'll that's a good place to be to regroup and if it does that's still a good place to be too.
So at 6 we headed to the church and gave Christie and her friend a ride while Jason and Luke put finishing touches on the pinewood derby car. It's serious business.
Well the dang kid won the whole thing! Which was way beyond my goal (his is higher) cause I thought it was be great to win one race. But nope this was meant to be the best day ever. I even finished the night off with a bunch of free cookies from there. We came home got everyone in bed . I had my pjs on by 9:05 pm and we watched downton Abby after Jason gave me an in depth recount of the possible job.
So no matter what tomorrow brings, today has been an amazing day and I am as happy as I could be.
Dear old self from four months ago, Don't worry, life will look up. The future is bright even though so much is still unknown. You wont want to cry all the time and you wont do it alone. The lessons you will learn will be worth every bit. Thank you January 29, you were fantastic.

Oh good luck tomorrow. You sound like you are in such a good place about it. It does sound like the best day ever. I can't believe he won the pinewood derby! That is amazing! That's pretty much as good as Jason getting a job! :)

Truly a great day! So sweet that she was fasting for you. I too was touched by this story. You should write a story for the Ensign. You know for that section where people share their experiences. That's always my favorite part.

Congrats to Luke on the big win! I'm so glad that you had a day like that where everything boosts your spirit and uplifts you even if it's simple things like eating fries and a drink :).

I have never heard that worst date story and I cannot believe I have missed out on that one--you'll have to blog about it or I'll have to call you to get the story.

That is a fab day. Nothing like a girlfriend to show up and force a haircut and give a bag of TJ's. Thinking about you and loving your attitude! xoxo
