Trunk or Treat

By the time Halloween comes, it will be the kids 4th dress up of sorts. Friday was crazy hair day. The girls went for pink, Luke went with black. Whatever Darby does, Baylie wants to do. Whatever Baylie does, Paisley wants to do. Exactly. I'm sure Ivy will soon follow as well.

Darby wanted to be Belle. Her favorite color is also yellow.

Baylie wanted to be a witch and I'm especially loving that she requested a green face. I couldn't decide which picture I liked best of the girls so I just included them all. Luke agreed to one picture...it begins.

Jason and I basically just pulled whatever we could find from our stash and put it on, hey we aren't getting any sleep over here, next year we will be awesome again.

Do you get it? Can you see what Ivy is? Get it? Get it? IVY!

Then after we got home from the trunk or treat, Jason and I volunteered to help with the youth dance. It was at this family's awesome house. The house was awesome, the best part was the pool which had a sub-bbq so that you could sit next to it on built in stool in the water while eating by the bbq...now thats a cool way to have dinner.

We helped with the haunted alley, which was this fully built thing in their garage...large and professional. I got to squirt silly spray behind a little 2 inch slit and it was the most fun I've had in a while. And the first time we have left Ivy at nite with a sitter (we lasted an hour and a half, Jason won the bet). My favorite was when I heard, "Oh, I just got silly spray in my mouth....or.....That was in my face!" I mean, does it get more fun than that? Shooting unsuspecting teenagers with silly spray while they are screaming in the dark? Kuddos to those cute Mormon kids I didn't hear a curse word. There was a fog machine going and strobe and black light so I couldn't see what I was doing but the reactions were priceless. Jason grabbed ankles with this blinking gloves. If I ever have to go back to work, can I somehow incorporate it working in a haunted house? Cause that would be fun.

p.s. go see my sister courts blog how she ran a half marathon (dressed as a pirate). my favorite quote, "it was really fun, minus the running." love it.

Loved all the pictures. Seriously, so, so cute. Those pictures of Darby are just beautiful. By the way, didn't you use to do makeup for a haunted house in college?
