Cubscouts Oh my goodness

Here is one happy boy. Cubscouts is the perfect rough housing forum midweek for a kid with no brothers. Learn stuff, do stuff, not sure what but he loves it. Major foreign territory for me.

Luke also thought the arrow of light ceremony (fancy pants stuff) was the most awesome thing ever. Good thing his mom finally got his cubscout stuff just in time (like today 15 min before that place closes). He loved wearing his uniform, which is good cause it cost $77 bucks! Pants not included. Are you kidding me?

We realized about 30 minutes before (when I had a friend and her kids over for dinner til about 10 min before we had to leave) that the whole family was supposed to come cause it was pack meeting.

Here is one of the bazillion pictures Paisley took of her leg. I was struggling for things to do. Had nothing. But my sturdy trusty won't break when she drops it camera. Even the pacifier wouldn't keep her quiet. Just kept drawing on her back (x marks the spot, circle and a dot, spiders crawling up your back, spiders crawling down. crack an egg on your head, feel the yoke come down, cool breeze, tight squeeze, now you got the chills....to be exact, about five times) and trying other things up my sleeve. But she was a wiggle worm. A loud one. Thankfully her dad showed up (after I texted "Help me!") but even he couldn't contain her.

Because like ten minutes later, she even knocked down the American Flag on the post. Almost hit the bishop. Did I mention that they said this ceremony was like the eagle scout of cubscouts and apparently taken very seriously so I'm learning. But we McCoys sure like to make a spectacle of ourselves. Anything to get more attention.

this might be the dirtiest baby on the planet.

Who is sleeping in her bed with no bath because I was spent when I finally got home from that thing. Super pregnant parenting is not the best. You pick your battles.

My three other kids had been rolling in grass and sweating too, but Paisley won the award. While I was talking with my friend Tiffany after dinner, she came in with what looked like lotion on her hands. But Tiffany was in the middle of telling a personal story so I just kinda wiped it off....ten minutes later discovered it was butter. Butter. Butter even in the hair. And we just picked up and went to the church building like that. even no shoes. she looked real cute ;)

And speaking of cute...aren't I? Don't answer that. This picture is only a joke. I thought, why not, I got no shame? This is what frazzled women who are trying to keep her three bored daughters happy do to entertain them, make fools of herself. I love you Luke, and by going to the monthly cubscouts pack meeting I will prove to you how much. True love. Ruin bedtime and super pregnant love. Dang I got a big tongue. It was a long day. Don't judge.

Now I gotta figure out how to attach some patches.

$77?! I don't think I paid that much. I'm going to pack meetings by myself too. Kind of stinks. Get badge magic. Super easy! No sewing.

You totally made me laugh. Butter? That's so awesome.

I love this post. Why? Because it feels like something I would write and I love that I can relate to you. This is hilarious! I'm sure it's not hilarious to you when you're going through it but I love reading about it. I'm normal! Every Mom goes through this same stuff, right? At least that's what I keep telling myself when I'm really struggling with the kids.

Just drop him off who cares if the fam should be there

buying scout stuff is the worst! When Than went to wood badge, he had to buy every little thing...why do they have to charge so much for really poor quality clothes?!?!!? But at least he has it all now and he looks like super scout guy.

I also have some super dorky pictures taken by my children while waiting and trying to keep them entertained.

The saying goes...No matter how much you spend on scouting over the years, it's cheaper than bail!

Too bad there is no DI here--you could have found scout clothes for cheap there.

I put my kids to bed dirty all the time and I'm not even pregnant!

I love the cub scout pic! So cute. Can't believe it was so expensive, but I guess you could count it as a donation to the organization, right? What a fun new stage.

That is great that Luke likes scouting. I think it is great for boys. Sad it cost so much. Hang in there going by yourself, never easy.

haha what Sharon said is AWESOME! He looked good last night! I heard badge magic is great but for me it's faster to sew them on!
