Poo on Sugar

Okay, so I lied. Cause I'm going to try the no treats thing again. Don't even ask why, just ask my closet full of clothes beckoning to be worn. Until Valentine's Day.

My California Amber (cause there is an Alabama Amber) is doing it with her husband and I surprisingly recruited Jason. Actually I'll have to do it til my anniversary on the 18th cause I technically am starting today.

Two weeks? Is that even humanly possible? I'm not sure. Cause chocolate is in my blood I think.

Who's with me? Who thinks I won't last a day?

Brooke. I have a couple new cookbooks that are all about sugar substitutes and how sugar is addictive (which I so believe b/c I definitely can't eat just one chocolate chip cookie). Anyway, you can still eat sweets! Even chocolate. And there are a ton of sugar substitutes that I think are totally yummy. Agave nectar, brown rice syrup, 100% maple syrup, honey. You can even get things sweetened this way at TJs that taste really yummy. Maybe make your life a little science experiment and see what you come up with. When I try to cut out sweet things, I usually do a goal like you are, "make it to Valentine's Day". Then treat yourself. You can do it!!

I have confidence in you! Myself? Not so much. I'm going to live it up now until my heartburn kicks in (should happen soon).

Good luck - Andrew is a sweets man and he has tried a few times. He wasn't too successful but he also wasn't too determined. We can do anything we TRULY put our minds to!

You CAN do it! And if you do it for 2 weeks and faithful doing it then I know you will be able to fit into what you want to. I really think you have to go longer than a week to see results so don't get impatient. Wait for the 8th day and you'll think it's worth it.

(this is just from my own personal experience--when I started the challenge I'm doing it took 8 or 9 days to notice a difference)

I'll totally do it with you, I've been looking for a kick in the butt to stop eating crap, I've got 13 weeks left in this pregnancy, hmmm... I've never made it past 6 or 7 weeks without sugar but, well my baby needs the good stuff not all the sugar. So are there rules? I'm so in! Email me zacginarobinson@gmail.com

You can do it! Sugar is pretty hard on your system, but it does taste good. I gave it up for 5 days (along with wheat and going vegan, etc) and it was awesome how natural everything I ate was. Keep us posted how it goes! :)

you can do it! once you get past like the one-two month mark of no sweets, you lose the desire for sweets.
