Tuesday Thinking

We had a great weekend having both sets of parents here for the blessing of our little Paisley. Even more fun that it was halloween. Did I mention that we really like Halloween? Like really really like halloween. Great pictures of my parents and even the McCoys busted out some HI-larious costumes. Some that could be used as collateral in the future I'm sure.

The house is more organized and clean and stocked since they were here. Even the garage. Our yard looks better, we played lots of Skip Bo, watched Sharla's wedding video and the kids had so much fun...they even swam at the hotel! But its always sad to see family go. Boo hoo.

I have millions of pictures to upload, but just been contemplating this week.

Have you ever heard the saying, "With every baby comes a loaf of bread?"

I can't remember where I first heard that, but my friend Renee and I have discussed it. How with every baby comes a blessing. Often a direct financial blessing. The Lord provides. You will find a way to feed that baby, and after this week, I'm feeling like our medicine miracle is our 'loaf of bread.' Because we felt strongly that our family was not complete yet and that this little girl was waiting to come to us. We are so lucky to be her parents and know that really she is on loan to us from Heaven. Heavenly Father and Jesus love her even more than we do and wants what is best for her. I hope we can provide the life He wants for Paisley. I wonder what she is going to be like...probably a pistol like the other three.

A loaf a bread. Its true. Whenever I hear of a couple who 'can't afford to have kids' I think of that. It will all work out. Have faith. I could always use more faith, for real.

By the way, my medicine arrives today. I was wrong, when I went to place the order it didn't cost ten dollars, it was free. Cool, huh.

Also, I've been re-listening to this book as I work out. Its freaking awesome. Don't judge a book by its cover though cause its cover is pretty dorky...I mean dated, dated sounds nicer. Don't be scared that its a Mormon author, although there are a few LDS references, most of it applies to everyone. We all want the same things right? Good kids who know Jesus. The best parenting book hands down (although I am still highly devoted to Miss Tamara Fackrell). I'm going to buy it for myself for Christmas. Tell me if you want me to burn you the cds...I'm sure Elder Cook wouldn't mind, right? Oh and I just found the book really cheap right here if you buy it used.

Paisley looks so beautiful and happy. She has the sweetest smile. I was just telling someone 2 days ago about the loaf of bread with every kid. You have said that with each one of your kids. Does that mean I should have another kid soon?:) just kidding! Those are some awesome halloween picts of jason.

I just finished that book and I agree that it is excellent. It was a wedding present and I read some when we were first married, but it's been sitting on the bookshelf for 8 years and I finally picked it up. I wish I had read it sooner! I love the examples of using scriptures and prayer to help our children have the desire to make good choices.
