Miss Paisley Jo McCoy

To our surprise on September 1st....

our little girl Paisley arrived.

She weighed 7 lbs and 7 oz...was the secondest largest child of ours, beating Luke out by one ounce and was the earliest arrival at 11 days early.

She is also the first baby that came regardless of her mother's schedule which might be an indication of her personality.

She is the first McCoy to come without the help of her mother's scheming to get her here earlier...!

The verdict is still out which sister she more resembles, but she is a bit of her own especially with the least amount of hair except for Luke who sported an awesome old man's hair do. I keep calling her my 'bald baby' just to tease Jason.

Little Miss Paisley was arriving September 1st regardless of my unpacked bag or that it was a Tuesday in the middle night. We thankfully drove to the hospital in time to get an epidural (I was a 5 when we arrived), with special thanks to Amber for taking my kids early in the morning.

Our hospital experience was the most unusual yet with a shared room, 17 babies born that day and 6 in one hour! Sleeping there was a bit like camping and we left as soon as possible!

She might become the most over-stimulated baby with her doting and intrigued siblings hovering always around her. (Although Darby told me that Paisley smells like dog food) We are so glad she is healthy and she is finally here.

Luke is so excited when she gets to sleep in her room because he told me he is going to rub her cheek while she is asleep. He would hold her all day.

Darby has already been a good 'fetcher' and sister holder. Although at 6:30 a.m I had to stop her from opening our bedroom curtains because it had been a sleepless night.

Baylie plopped on the couch this morning and told me, "Bring me that baby!"

Jason is a champ dad helping in the night and already way better the baby whisperer than me as always...its a little sick. I'm recovering a bit slow, but will hopefully put to work my little 'helpers' for diaper grabbing at least. We were not quite so prepared for her arrival and our still dusting off our newborn skills.

Paisley must have bent on coming because she barely waited for her Nana to arrive... She was born less than two hours after she arrived at the hospital...fortunately she had already planned on coming to CA that day and smartly rented a car even though I tried to talk her out of it many times cause I thought it was not needed. Good thing she didn't listen to me or else she would have missed this special event. So she left Alabama at 5 a.m., arrived to LA at 10 a.m. and whipped to the hospital!

Paisley is already a trooper since she a pretty purple at birth, but now is her pretty pink color!

Jason and I were amused by my choice of attire this September 1 morning. Snazzy dresser.

She is beautiful! When we saw Lindsey's post, we were worried that your Mom didn't make it. That sure was cutting it close. Since Mel and family have been living with me, I've enjoyed having a good "fetcher" around, aka Lauren. Bradley has grown out of that, but Lauren loves to help. It's so sweet to watch siblings reaction when a new baby comes.

Brooke, you look AMAZING!!!

I'm so glad Paisley is here. Early is GOOD. I can't believe you had to share a room though. I'm sure that was "fun". Must have been something in the water cuz everyone had their babies at the same time.

I'll see you soon. I'm bringing dinner over tomorrow night. I'll call you.

CONGRATS!!!

So so great picts. Made me cry how cute she is. And you look so dang pretty!! Sorry a sleepless night the first night home! Baylie is cracking me up with her comments. Take it easy and try to let the helpers do the work. Hopefully her night schedule will switch around soon. xo

7 pounds and 7 ounces, huh? That's exactly how much Clementine weighed. And Clementine is my smallest baby. Oh, and you're really not supposed to look that good after having a baby. I should post the pictures of me. I look like I got hit by a truck. They are awful! But I will try and remember your rule of LOTS of make-up before future picture taking with future baby births. And now I will sound like everybody else --- congratulations! Paisley is a pretty baby. And I mean that. And how are you so fast and able to post pictures up of the babe with siblings. I am so slow!!! Ha!
