I froze my Costco lettuce

I'm having some friends over for dinner tomorrow cause I went to costco and we are stocked up. I kinda feel like I've been a hermit for the past year.

BUT I went to grab the chicken nuggets out of the freezer for tonites dinner and my 7 hearts of romaine lettuce for $2.76 (this is a guess, I can't remember the real amount, but its close to it) at Costco were right next to the box of mini-frozen pizzas I just bought! Here is what happened.

AHHHHH!

Crap, whats the lettuce doing there!

Jason! Why did you put the lettuce in the freezer?

"I didn't put it there!"

Crap, that means I did it. What was I thinking?

I must've been crazy. Or tired. I seriously don't remember doing that.

There goes my dang lettuce, now I just got to chuck the thing. And I've already been to Target and trader joes today so I'm done with errands.

I must be losing my mind. Costco was a sucesss other than that cause I'm now proud owner of the executive membership (thanks for the tip folks). I am starting to love all the 'you are still a baby to have all those babies' comments. Jason and I were cracking ourselves up cause the next time someone at Costco tells me how young I look I'm telling them I'm 47.

Have you tried saying, " But I will be a hot grandma when you are just starting to be a mommy." Just think, you can still eat ice cream after having kids. When you start having kids at 40...bye, bye Cold Stone or a even a small twist cone through the drive thru.

Are we related or what? I put gorgeous Sam's Club strawberries in the freezer this past week and when we tried to thaw them, they were mushy and had to throw them. I think it means we have too much on our mind. xoxomom

I get the "you are too young to have a kid" comment all the time. I also get the "you are too young to have a a husband comment" too. I have not yet come up with a clever reply. I am still in the "want to explain to them that my kids weren't accidents" mode. Oh well. All I got to say is I can't imagine running after a 1 year old when you are 40. It is exhausting enough.

Older moms rock too! Seriously I have this awesome friend who did IVF for like 4 years and spent $80,000 trying to get pregnant. I just happened to meet my husband earlier.

Motherhood bonds us. That is what surprises me the most. You are friends with whomever has similar age of your kids ...so I have plenty of friends much older, but motherhood is the great equalizier...

so I'm just waiting for Angelina or Katie to call me cause now we'd have plenty to talk about.

Too funny. I put crazy things in the fridge all the time, but my latest is forgetting to get my newly bought prepacked cold stone out of the car to find it in the morning all mushy in my car. Doesn't make me happy.

Taylor never lives down the time I put the cereal back into the freezer. Girl, you are among friends.
