I am an addict

Today I made it all day without eating cookies, candy, ice cream or other such staple in my day. I am shocked. It hasn't happened in probably three years. That would have been when I tried South Beach but quit on day two after I was crabby. Jason was stuffing them into my mouth to make me happy again. That is a joke. Sugar and chocolate are definitely my downfalls...I think I might be shaking and sweating tomorrow. And I bake better than I cook.

The only way I could do it was measuring in 2 hour increments. "Okay, self, lets make it til 10 a.m. with out a cookie" "Good job self, now shoot for noon." "Holy crap self it 3! Better shove more sugar free bubble gum in your mouth" The trick worked. Sound the alarms.

We'll see how long it lasts. I'm not swearing off my favorite staple, just reigning it in a bit. Mostly cause I've been running diligently for a while now and ready to see some results. Do you want to race? Just let me grab my depends so I don't pee my pants.

i definitely bake better too and i enjoy the results more. i don't make cookies like every week or anything but when i do they are gone within a day or two. i go through spells where i eat a lot of snacks and then not many at all. i am trying to exercise more too and i know i won't see results unless i eat more healthy. i also hope i won't pee on my self when i run. i hate that. i want my teenage body back.

oh, so glad courtney got a full offer on her house. hope it all goes smoothly. i know the feelings and stress associated.
my kids often fight over who gets to lick the beater and scrape the bowl clean with their spoon. we did as kids too. yum.

I like to eat sweet stuff for breakfast. Nestle makes these break n bake brownie bites that are soo good. I make rice crispy treats to eat for breakfast alot. They are made from ceral afterall.

Nice way to break-in the new car seat. Hope it's not too sticky. We use to fight over the beaters. We needed a mixer with 5 beaters. Really, 6 because Mother wanted one too. Hooray for Courtney's full offer. Hopefully it will go smoothly, and they can find the perfect house in B'ham.

I'm experiencing a similar situation with giving up soda (mostly coke). It is so hard. There is no way in the world I would give up my chocolate though. That would be harder! Good luck with that!

Maybe you can do the sugar free fudgecicles (sp??) or something else that is chocolatey but not necessarily THAT bad for you.

And Bailey - if you figure out how to break your soda addiction let me know :)

It must be hereditary that you are addicted to sweets, sorry. Court and I made cowboy cookies today : )

Made me laugh, your commentary is very Briget Jones-sie.

I have a fantastic idea. You should read angieinpink's blog. She is hosting a weight loss challenge and the winner gets a package from her. It would be worth it run everyday and go without sugar just to get an adorablely scrapbooked package from her. You should do it. Read her blog. I might even try it. Don't you think after 21 months of zero exercise it would be about time to hit the streets and start lifting some canned corn. Here, here to being healthy.

yeah well normally i resist, but i think if you get a chance at some good cookies like those in that picture it is wrong to your zen to pass them up : )
