My body is recovering

Yo, so I'm back from Utah.
I konked out on the couch at 7 p.m. from a wonderful trip. (But woke up to watch the Tivo-ed Oscars don't worry, Jon Stewart was great) There is nothing more beautiful than snow covered mountains...especially when you are skiing down them. I'm just sad it was just a taste of it...I'd trade in the beach anyday...and I was plenty warm in my five layers clothes.

BUT I was hurting yesterday. BAD. stilling recovering. Like I've had three babies and been in a triathlon this year, but I was in more pain yesterday. No joke. I could barely move. I need to work on my form, I think I was skiing on my tippy toes???cause my calves are killing me. And I thought I was in pretty good shape, better than in years I'd even dare to say. but my mama and aunt sure whooped on me. Seriously there are some tough ladies. With their gorgeous form and glued together skiis, I got worked. No more moguls...even small ones. I was definitely a little rusty, but it was worth it. How many times do you get to ski with your mom on her birthday?

Oscar comments: I sure do love that Amy Adams and the movie Enchanted. That working song could be my theme song in life, or my life currently. Go to Lindsey's blog to listen to it. And I love that Jennifer Garner, I think we could be friends. I miss you Alias.

Jason did great and somehow I decided to leave him the camera, so no snow pictures to show you. But first. Notice my second attempt at cutting his hair. I never laugh so hard as when I'm cutting his hair. He doesn't love my laughing so much. Cause I have no idea what I'm doing. :)

Luke was excited to not have his baby sister around to knock down his castles?
Brandon, my bro, check out luke's shirt...have you worn yours?

I don't know why Jason took this picture, because I don't think we should be encouraging more monkey business.

Jason got them ready for church and Luke even gave a talk. Look at D's hair do...good job Daddy-O!

This dress is hand me down from Delanie and Darby is in heaven. The sweater was a find of Courtney's! Thanks. Way to get them ready J!

Wow. That is awesome that you got to go skiing w/ your mom for her bday! And I am SO impressed at how well Jason took care of the kids while you were gone. They were dressed to the 9s for church! And no joke, you did a great job on Jason's hair. I turned Adam into Vanilla Ice the 1st time I cut his hair. Ha. At least he forgave me.

That is so impressive about J taking care of the kids, especially getting Darby all matching with a hair bow! Amazing. That is impressive. Love the picts and so jealous of you skiing. My favorite is the gorgeous view from the top of the mountain.
I tried to cute Nates hair too. It looks pretty much buzzed. oh well.

don't you worry about being out of shape just cuz you are sore - skiing brings out weird muscles that you never use. very impressed w/ Jason - I guarantee my husband would never think to whip out a bow for church (if i had a girl that is, otherwise that would be weird)

yeah tell luke that castle/fort is awesome, i am impressed. i haven't worn the shirt yet, but mostly cause i want to keep it in good condition, it is my only t-shirt on hanger. Hey, as having been cutting my hair for the first time in my life the last 9 months, I think it is a lot like cooking, most of it is trial and error, although it is easier to cut someone else's hair, doing your own is the only way you don't have someone to blame. right now I have like an ugly rock hawk, but I am going to shorten it much soon.

I'm impressed that you cut your husbands hair. It scares me to death to cut Denny's. I know I will mess it up. That is probably why he looks like he always needs a haircut. I won't do it and he is too busy to make an appointment. Poor guy.

Jason's hair looks great! You cut it? Adam would NEVER trust me that much. Way to go. Glad you are back.
