2012 already????

Okay, so we all know I'm voting for Mitt for 2008, but my brother, the great debater brought up 2012 already...

He was asking who I'd want for president if we could pick anyone. In college I would have said Elizabeth Dole because she ran the red cross and if you can run the red cross...and of course my perfect person would also be a woman :) How I can be a feminist and a stay at home mom you ask? Cause I am doing the most amazing thing by readying three some-day adults to contribute to society and cure cancer or solve the world's problems. Pat on the back for me as I'm currently changing diapers and burning dinner. Don't they always say the people who would be the best, wouldn't be the ones to run?

I wonder if you could compell people to run? If you had enough signatures or something. This might be too big of topic for someone like me who listens to kids songs in the car instead of NPR. And doesn't turn on the 5 o'clock news because I don't want my kid to see a dead body on the TV from the war. And I only lightly read the LA times, but mostly get it for the coupons.

But 2012?

Who would you vote for? They have to be living is the only requirement.

come on, people, I was hoping for diversity! Like Joni Mitchell! Although I doubt she'd be any good as president. Or Arnold's wife :)

If I say Hillary will I be shunned???? :)

I will think about it. I'm sure either her or Obama will give it another try if they don't get the nom. this time. Very interesting. I think people tried to get Oprah to run but she wouldn't.

yes, you will be shunned for saying Hillary. What about Condolezza Rice? Not as diverse as Joni mitchell but a power woman, no doubt.

I agree with embot Beth, you will be shunned? And Obama....I'm sorry. I can't support him. I'm scared of what will happen to our country if he wins. There is something to him. Something not good. Although I guess I would MAYBE take Hillary over Obama. IF I had no other choice. Either one is no good. Sorry.

I don't know who I would vote for in 2012. I'm just happy Mitt won Michigan last night.

Oh and I love your quote from Margaret Thatcher on the side crazy lady.

(And I'm just kidding Beth. You aren't shunned. You can vote for whom ever you want....I suppose. HE HE)

I'll take Obama in '12. By then he'll have done something in the senate and nobody can say 'he doesn't have experience.'
I'm okay with Mitt getting the nod because he's a good executive, but I'd like him a lot better if he'd stop putting everyone down. Anybody who has to put everyone else around him down to make himself look better has problems.
Off the wall candidate, I'll say Greenspan, guy's a genius and has already done wonders for our country, but he wouldn't run.

Haha.... I'm registered democrat so I've been concentrating a lot on those two lately. Not to say that that's who I'll vote for in November. I guess we'll see. And 2012??? I can't even decide for Feb. 5th! I do hope that Mitt wins the republican nom. though, so all you republicans get out and vote for him! :)
