Pinch Me Please

Sometimes do you have a really good day?
I did.
Let me tell you why. I (we miss you Courtney) convinced my husband to take the older kids and my neice to go see the Bee movie and we went shopping! Three cheers for Jason. Here are the remaining children and we were in Forever 21. I am not 21, and they cried the whole time until we gave them oreos and pumpkin bread and whatever else we had in our purse, but we were determined to purchase! But we scored at this store. And found cute earings for $3.80. Not on sale, go to Forever 21. Even if you have to buy way bigger sizes cause they are fitting 12 year olds. I love you mall, we haven't seen each other in a while. At least not more than the kids play part. And it was all a crazy whirlwind or how much can we do in 90 minutes. A lot. The Gap, Crate and Barrell. Yahoo! And Lindsey was like, I'm not buying something till we buy something for you first ...so she helped me quick. And the whole time we had to be funny and play peek a boo, to stay away the tears for our little baby girls. And if you have sisters, one great thing about them is that they will tell you what is cute and what looks good and what does not. My sister picked out all my clothes and they look great. Can we do it again in 2 weeks?

This is the South Caroline temple. I didn't know there was one there (there are over 100 temples) and my brother went here today. He drove 1 hour and 40 minutes to get there. This is a mini one and he said it was just smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Temples are awesome. Everyone wears white and it's so peaceful and a much needed break from the outside world. For more information, there are young cute missionaries who would love to tell you more, or you can go to lds.org Come on, check it out...so worth it!

Another angle. I have one awesome single brother and also another awesome single brother-in -law. Quite the catch ladies. Both are 24...

Do your children do this? They all scramble in whenever they hear B awake.

Luke is spinning the necklace while trying to be cross eyed. Mini family talent show.

I love this boy.

I hate crockpots. And I couldn't have a bigger one. Crockpots are for people not home during the day. Cause I don't want to smell beef and onion soup mix cooking at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and finally done at 5:30 p.m. Yuck. The end result was yummy but I was almost puking from the smell by then. Had to have all the windows open and whenever I went somewhere my hair smelled like food. Yuck. Stupid crockpot...

Another closeup of the reluctant shopping gals. Two people asked if they were twins. Does that make Baylie Danny Devito? Not twins, cousins, three months apart.

Let me tell you the most wonderful thing. Here it was a regular Friday and I get a call from a friend who will remain nameless saying she is going to drop by. Hmmm...suspicious. Well what do you know she brings me yummy pumpkin cake. I had goosebumps when she left. What a nice thing to do and a great surprise. I love surprises. And it was warm. Have I ever dropped off bread for no reason to a friend? Nope, but it makes me want to. How cool is that. And she even brought me beef jerky and sugarfree gum to try and break me of my candy IV...so thoughtful. I am a lucky girl.
OOey Gooey yumminess.

More party time in the crib. I cringe as they are jumping and messing up the bedding, but sometimes I need to just take a chill pill and let kids be kids. Funny each one has slept in this crib at one time.

I love this bunch. Luke in his prayer for lunch said, "Please bless mom not to yell so much" ouch. He said other things too, and for him not to be naughty. Afterwards I was like, "I'm trying and getting better, right? "

My little B.

Okay folks, so I like my blog, and am starting to think of my computer as my friend, which is a scary thing, but there are bad things about blogs too. Like when you start to hop from friend to friend and just get disgusted with yourself because they are people out there who are just so dang cute and pretty and perfect and so freakin creative and witty that you just want to smack them. Well I hope that mine is not that for you. Because it is not true. And I could always use a good smack anyway.

But I just had a really good day today and I am not always smart enough to recognize it. Cause the other reason this day was so great is that Jason and I just got back from an actual date where we paid a babysitter $40 for 4 hours and it was worth every stinking penny. We love you 15 year old Alyssa! Thank you Thank you! I almost cried when she said yes because we desperately needed to get out of the house together as a couple. We went to see Dan in Real Life which we liked, and we ate in the food court and went to the grocery store afterwards for milk, but it was just wonderful. How my priorities have changed. Food Court or cheesecake factory, if I don't have to cook it all day in a crockpot, sounds fantastic to me. And I wore my new cute clothes too!

That WAS so much fun and made my day! I want to see a pict of you in your clothes. I am glad you had a good date and I love the pictures of the kids in the crib. Baylie looks like she is SO happy with her siblings. And Luke is very talented. I can't even do crosseyed. You are so funny. The crockpot has been a complete loss for me too--except cream cheese chicken recipe that I need to give you.

Can I just say I LOVE YOUR BLOG. You are so fun. And you are such a good mom. I'm glad you were able to get out, go shopping, and go on a date! Dates are the best. And that is hilarious that people asked about Baylie and Brenna being twins.

Funny Pictures! That is one sturdy crib. I don't think I could cook in the crock pot if I were home all day. I don't even like the way the smell hits me like a brick wall when I come in the door. But I do like having dinner ready when I get home from work. It's a trade off.

It is awesome to have great days and date nights. Don't give up on the crock pot, it can be your best friend. I have used the Fix it and Forget it cookbook several times. The best is to use recipes that cook on high for 2-4 hours. I use mine often and it is great. I'll send you some of my fav recipes, if you want.

If I am home with a crockpot all day, the smells make me hungry and I eat - not good. You are so creative with your blog - I'm impressed. Did Brand send you those pics of the temple? Miss your darling kids desperately!
