A long long day

Drumroll please........

Bbbbbbbdddddddddd bbbbbbddddddd bbbbbddddddd (this is the sound of a drum roll...try it rolling your tongue)

Which of the Jason and Brooke McCoy children was the first ever to receive stitches today?

It was bound to happen.

Too many swords and too many sticks.

Too many athletic children who think they are monkeys.

Too many climbers and wrestlers.

Luke ?

Darby?

Or Baylie?

Hmmm......
What do you think?

There were 3 stitches.

....close to the left eye.

And Baylie wins!

She was a trooper. We are finally home. I am tired. Emotionally. I even had to lie down after watching it cause I was feeling a bit 'woosey'. What a wimp. Thankfully the lollipop helped. I wasn't planning on watching, just letting Jason get close to her face because there was only so much room. Just reassuringly talking to her along with everyone else. And cringing. But then I poked my head out and she spotted me and cried harder so I had to watch. Tug and sew those stitches up with a needle and black thread. They come out in a week. Neosporin twice a day and stay out of the sun.

My owe-the-world-pal Sara watched the bigger kids for four and a half hours while I went to the doctor then back to pediatric urgent care where a 'plastics' doctor carefully stitches up my little wounded daughter. Ooooh, I totally owe her.

After a fall in the kitchen on the upside down lid of a plastic bin, I was debating to take her in. My mom said I could tape it together. But I called for a second opinion and my mom pal agreed to take her in. The doctor told me I'd need to come back for stitches when the 'plastics' guy was available. I didn't have enough money for the parking garage, but if you burst into tears and hold your pathetic dollar and coins out he will let you go anyway---thats a free tip.

So blogger is my therapy today. I missed a baby shower tonite. But this is a good excuse. And I'm frazzled.

I should've known the day was askew when it took me 40 minutes to just get to where the 101 and 134 separate. I mean traffic is bad, but this one was especially. And Baylie had taken out her hair, off her shoes, wiggled out of the car seat, and was crying for the majority of it. Crying so much no song would tempt her out of it. So I skipped the rec class that I was now late for an opted for jumping on the trampoline of my great friend who was a few exits closer. Thank you thank you.

But then ...Luke and Darby were chasing each other, I was on the phone and BANG, we are finally near the end of today. Too bad my Miss B has a 18th month old check up tomorrow with shots included. Ahhhh...

Good heavens! You are the trooper. I would have made Trent go by himself and if I had gone I would have definately had to lay down. Good Luck tomorrow. You are right though...it was bound to happen. I hope you have a better day tomorrow. Hugs and Kisses to B.

That is so sad. Give Baylie tons of kisses for us. Hopefully you can get a good night sleep tonight. That is so stinky.

Sooo sorry. I know it hurt you as much as her. Things happen - not to worry. It sounds like everyone needs some ice cream : )

I'm so sorry, Brooke! It sounds like a really hard day! Poor you! Poor Baylie! I hope everyone is in better spirits tomorrow and no one gets hurt!

Poor Baylie! It's tough being the little one trying to keep up with the big kids. You probably only got woosey because they were stiching up your baby. If it had been some one else, you probably would've been fine.

Baylie is to cute to let anything happen that that adorable face. I hate it when my kids get hurt. I love getting caught up. Enjoy the nice Cali weather, we are in for a doozy of a winter, or so I am told. I hope tomorrow is a better day!

You don't owe me a thing Brooke! You would do the same thing for me. The kids were great and they all played well--they probably had a little too much Star Wars and Indiana Jones, but a little extra TV sometimes never hurts.

Brooke! It's so good to hear from you. What a beautiful family you have. You all still look as young as you did when we knew you! I have yet to have an expereince with stiches...and I hope I never do. You are brave!

I'm amazed you made it so long; we only made it until Liam was 17 months old! And his were right by his eye too. It was horrible having him stiched up. I feel for you!
