Try something new
I don't know why I"m posting a sweaty picture of myself, but here is from my first 10 K on Saturday. I was sure sore on Sunday. But isn't so fun doing something you've never done before. I couldn't believe I finished. Holy cow. All that early morning running paid off...although not on my butt, but I don't even care. Thanks to Sara for being my buddy and for Fergie from pumping me up at the end. Wahoo!
Sara...my early morning partner.
All our fans. Jason did the girls hair. Thanks for coming, it was hot.
The short people club. Four members so far. I remember my mom running as a kid, hopefully my kids will too. And although not attractive, I long those long spandex shorts I was wearing.
P.S. I think I was 113th out 151 or so... next time I'll work on my time. I'm slow and steady...right?

Way to go Broooke! That's awesome. You inspire me to get moving! I wish we lived closer. I am a very slow running partner. Slow and steady wins the race!!!!
you're such an awesome person! i love the long spandex. =)
I've never seen better lookin spandex before! Good work honey!
Love the pics. At least we left room for improvement on the next one! You forgot to tell everyone how you sprinted at the end to beat that guy that we followed the last mile--and you won and he busted out into a sprint trying not to let you beat him.
Thanks for the early morning motivation and the good times!
Sara

good for you. i have been thinking lately of prepping to run a 10K - it just seems so fulfilling. and let me just tell you, your blog is one of my faves because I can always count on an entertaining update
